As primarily an impressionistic photographer, I love exploring the interaction between color, movement, and light as it exists in nature.

My most recent series, "Il Giardino," is a compilation of images taken throughout Connecticut's community gardens project. I observed various growth levels, development, and change in the plants throughout the vibrant, lovingly tended floral gardens every day, at multiple times per day. In doing so, I imagined myself intertwining amongst the diversity of plant species, feeling the wind rustling my petals, the sun regenerating my leaves. My photographic process is always experimental, and for this series, I explored using various focal lengths and multiple exposures to create soft, layered, dreamlike, and painterly effects. In these images, I hope the viewer feels as though they are not just an outside observer of the beauty of flowers but are also a part of the garden itself.
